Dit jaar doe ik het anders; ik heb vandaag al een paar uur
zitten neuzen op de site. Op zoek naar leuke sprekers en interessante
exhibitors. Er is vooral erg véél om uit te kiezen. Zes interessante

omdat: andere perspectieven hoe je je school in kunt richten mij ook nieuwe
ideeën en perspectieven geven. Ook relevant voor (toekomstig) leraren aan de
lero, ons nieuwe curriculum en voor nieuwe input bij de post-hbo.

How to actually digitalize the whole of basic education? The
city of Kaarina has deployed the largest educational 1:1 implementation of
tablet computers in Finland. All of the
students from 4th to 9th grade have iPads as well as all of the teaching
personnel of basic education. Approx. 3 500 devices are in use covering all of
the basic education students and teaching personnel.
During the process traditional, printed study books were
largely replaced by electronic study books from several Finnish publishers. A
vast, in service teacher training programme was introduced in order to support
the teachers. A new learning management software was also deployed for
integrating several cloud- based educational services into one single portal
with a single sign on.
How have students and teachers perceived the change so far?
What happened to learning motivation and self-efficacy? How have teachers
changed their digital didactical designs? All of these questions and more have
been studied with scientific research projects. The presentation will reveal
the results.

omdat: dit een grootschalige verandering is geweest in het basisonderwijs van
een hele stad! Finland staat vaak vooraan in de peilingen met hun goede
onderwijs, toch zijn ook zij aan het zoeken hoe ze met ict aan de slag kunnen
en wat dat betekent. Slim dat ze deze verandering ook wetenschappelijk
onderzochten en dat ze een intensief scholingsprogramma hebben opgezet. Ik ben
benieuwd welke lessen zij hebben geleerd.

After careful consideration as to whether to introduce iPads
into our school, in September 2014 we launched a one to one scheme in the sixth
form to staff, students and parents. We also invested in class sets. As I now enter the second year of my sixth
form students having iPads and the second year of using Firefly, I'll share how
these technologies have supported the use of flipped learning strategies with
my classes. I will share the whole school, benefits and pitfalls and hopefully
others can learn from my personal and whole school experiences.

With 7.5 million TED Views of her ‘Grit’ talk, Angela Lee
Duckworth needs no introduction to educators and leaders around the world. A
consultant, then a maths teacher, now an assistant professor in psychology at
the University of Psychology, her research subjects include students, West
Point cadets, and corporate salespeople, all of whom she studies to determine
how "grit" is a better indicator of success than factors such as IQ
or family income.
Interessant voor mij omdat: wij hier les over geven :) Een aantal weken terug hebben we met de eerstejaars de theorie van de fixed & growth mindset behandeld. Zeker voor onze doelgroep die met name in het VMBO en MBO gaan lesgeven, is het relevant om te realiseren dat de leerlingen daar ontzettend veel kunnen bereiken.
Zoals je ziet zijn er twee sprekers die elkaar overlappen.
Ik zal mezelf dus moeten opsplitsen of een keuze maken. Heb jij nog favorieten
